Locally: BUMC is Engaged in Our Community.

Family Promise of Gallatin Valley

Family Promise of Gallatin Valley is a nonprofit network of interfaith organizations working together to end homelessness, one family at a time.  BUMC is one of 13 host churches which means we provide meals, overnight hospitality and friendly support to families for a week at a time.  Watch the Chimes and Mission Blog for hosting and volunteer training dates.  www.familypromisegv.org

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity of Gallatin Valley is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with qualified families to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to the families at no profit and with no interest charged.  In 2014 they plan to complete a house in Belgrade.   www.habitatbozeman.org

The Community Café

Located at 302 N. 7th Avenue, The Community Café, with the support of HRDC, our church and other local organizations and individuals, provides hearty, family-friendly meals seven days a week from 5 PM to 7 PM, 365 days a year!  All are welcome.  You can help serve dinner or come to eat.  http://www.cafebozeman.org/

Gallatin Valley Food Bank

The critical link between food and the people who need it, the Food Bank helps provide Gallatin Valley residents in need of emergency food assistance.  Donations can be left in a grocery basket in our narthex.  http://www.gallatinvalleyfoodbank.org/
