Send Us Your Question!  bumc@bozemanumc.org

When are services?

Worship at 8:30 & 10:30 AM on Sundays and at 6:00 PM on Wednesday. Join Sunday School or a class between services. Classes are also offered on Wednesday evenings after the short half-hour service.

Is Worship Contemporary or Traditional?

Each BUMC service offers a mix of both. With hand-bell music to puppet shows to Native American flute performances, and scripture readings, and Holy Communion… BUMC hopes to offer what is timely, needed and hopeful.

Do I have to come to church every Sunday?

No. Although we would love to see you every Sunday, we understand the challenges and pressures of today’s world, and realize it just might not be possible to do everything all the time. At BUMC we try to provide a respite from the “busy” world in which we live ~ one where you can find focus, center your heart on God, and bring about or maintain balance if your life. That said, we hope you might find that gathering for worship regularly helps ease the pressures of our “busy” world! (And really, can anybody eat just “one” potato chip?)

Can I bring my children to worship?

Yes! Children are welcome at all worship services. Children are involved in a Children’s Sermon with the Pastor, or with the Puppet Shows. Nursery care is provided from 8:30 to 11:30 every Sunday for children up to 4 years old.  In fact, child care is available for nearly every event held at BUMC.

What about Communion?

Holy Communion is served the first Sunday of every month. All are welcome to take communion in the Methodist Church regardless of age or church affiliation. Grape juice and bread or rice wafers are served either to us in the pews where we are seated, or to you at the altar.

Where should I park Sunday morning?

If street parking is not available, we hope you’ll find a space in the Dokken-Nelson Funeral Home lot, the lot behind the Children’s Museum accessed off Willson Avenue, or in the Emerson Cultural Center parking lot accessed off Olive Avenue. There are spaces reserved along Olive Avenue right in front of the church for those with special needs.

Where can I find information about events, activities and volunteering?

Visit the “Welcome Center” in the narthex on Sunday mornings. A greeter will be there to assist you, or you can browse the many displays to find a class, group, or opportunity of interest.

How else can I meet new people at the church?

Throughout the year we have many gatherings – from Bible Studies to Pot Luck Meals to Musical Events and more – we encourage all to attend. These are the opportunities to make connections with others. Check this website, our Facebook page, the church bulletin or newsletter, or just give us a call to learn what’s on the Calendar. In addition to special events, we also offer a number of Small Group opportunities designed to grow and nurture deeper connections within our church community.
